Platige Image work on the new game trailer for hotly anticipated horror game The Medium
The premiere of the trailer for the long-awaited game The Medium, created by Bloober Team, took place on 14th January. Platige Image was working on this production along with its production studio Dobro. The Platige employees involved in the project introduce some of the secrets of the preparations and work on the set, script, and special effects.
The trailer was commissioned by the Bloober team is full of tension with a sense of dread lingering ever closer, well also balancing the real world with the dark visions inspired by the paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński.
Here’s what Piotr Babieno, CEO at Bloober had to say about the project.
“The Medium is our biggest and most ambitious project to date when we thought who could write a live action trailer for the game, Tomasz Bagiński quickly became the most natural choice. After all, his Oscar-nominated The Cathedral was also inspired by the art of Zdzisław Beksiński, just like the spirit world in our game. I’m personally very happy that we could create something together.”
Tomek Baginsk, Creative Producer at Platige had this to add.
“When we decided with the Bloober Team that we were targeting the acting teaser, it was clear that we wanted to accentuate the emotional side of the game this way – Medium is an innovative horror, but its main advantage is the fantastic personalities of all characters, both heroes and opponents. With actors, we could go in an even more emotional direction than if we only had animated characters.”
The premiere of The Medium game is planned for 28th January, and the creators of Platige Image have announced that we can soon expect more behind-the-scenes materials regarding this production.
